Tincaps' Fall Tryouts for 2019 Season Set for Late September

The London and District Baseball Association (LDBA) has approved a proposal to move to a fall tryout schedule for 2019 season. 



As a result, the London West Tincaps will be running tryouts beginning September 29th for all Mosquito to Minor Midget aged players that are interested in playing competitive baseball for one of our Representative or Select teams. Tryouts are open to all athletes born between 2003 to 2009 that live in Byron and Oakridge. Tryouts will start off outdoors (weather permitting) in late September and move indoors throughout November.

  • Cost will be $100 (non-refundable), payable at time of registration on Tincaps website (payment via PayPal)
  • Registration closes September 24th, 2018 for Mosquito (born 2009) to Minor Midget (born 2003)
  • Athletes must be born between 1)2003 and 2009; and 2) reside in Byron or Oakridge. Click here to check boundaries for eligibility
  • Tryouts will be 5-8 sessions(weather permitting) taking place between September 29th and November 30th, 2018
  • Sessions will take place on local diamonds and indoor facilities such as Centrefield Sports
  • Players are expected to attend a minimum of 60% of the scheduled sessions in order to be considered for the team
  • Teams will beselected by December 2nd
  • Schedule of times and locations will be posted on Tincaps' website by mid September
  • Coaches for the 2019 season will be announced in early September
  • Tryouts for athletes born in2010-2011 (Rookie), 2001-2002 (Midget) or 1998-2000 (Junior) will continueto be held in the spring
