Tincaps fall to Aurora Jays 6-4 in Championship Game, in spite of Will Bishop's performance

Will Bishop went 2-3, but London West Tincaps 2005 still fell to Aurora Jays 6-4 in seven innings on Sunday at Leisure Park #3.

Two of London West Tincaps 2005's runs were scored thanks to timely hitting by Will. He doubled in the first inning and singled in the fourth inning.


Aurora Jays couldn't get anything going as long as Nate Bennett was on the hill. Nate held Aurora Jays hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out four.


Aurora Jays was sparked by Gabe and Fionn, who teamed up for four hits and two RBIs.

Aurora Jays jumped out to an early 1-0 lead in the top of the first. The Aurora Jays attack began with a single from Gabe. A stolen base then moved Gabe from first to second. Fionn singled, scoring Gabe.

London West Tincaps 2005 survived Aurora Jays' surge and put up three runs of its own in the first. London West Tincaps 2005 scored on a two-run double by Will and an RBI single by Camden Sanders.

The game's last lead went to Aurora Jays thanks to a fourth inning rally that saw two runs cross the plate on a fielder's choice.

Aurora Jays tacked on another two runs in the fifth. The inning got off to a hot start when Fionn doubled, plating Gabe. That was followed up by Darcy's double, scoring Nicholas.

After pushing across one run in the bottom of the seventh, London West Tincaps 2005 faced just a 6-4 deficit. An error triggered London West Tincaps 2005's comeback. Aurora Jays closed the game out when Nicholas got Camden to strike out.
