Tincaps Win 2-1 Over Niagara Falls in Championship Final

London West Makes The Most Of 4 Hits In 2-1 Victory Over Niagara Falls Falcons

The Tincaps and Niagara Falls Falcons both had scoring chances on Sunday, but it was the Tincaps that were able to capitalize on them as they pulled out a 2-1 win at Carling in the Championship game of the Tecumseh AA Major Mosquito Tournament.

It was redemption time for the Tincaps after losing the first round-robin game to the Falcons, and the Tincaps were determined not to let it happen again.

Niagara Falls out-hit London West six to four, but the Niagara Falls Falcons stranded 11 runners on base.

Strong pitching performances by Will Bishop and Roman 'Hammer' Sawchuk paced the team to victory.

The Tincaps held off the Falcons, as Niagara Falls were unable to overcome a two-run fourth inning deficit.

The games first run was scored in the second after a double by Camden S and an RBI single by Isaac M.  This was followed up with another run in the fourth on a lead-off double by Cooper M and a ground-out by Will B.

The lone run of the game for Niagara Falls Falcons crossed the plate in the seventh inning, but it was too little, too late as Hammer struck out the final batter to secure the victory.

Great Championship win boys - you earned it in a very well played ball game.
